Opening hours and what can be booked

What a customer can book, and when — and what you do with a booking once it is made.

  1. 1

Open Settings → Booking page & hours.

  2. 2

Under each shop, set its opening hours. Customers can book only when the shop is open.

  3. 3

Give each service its length and mark it Bookable online. A service with no length cannot be booked.

  4. 4

Each barber's own week — the days and hours they work — is set with their name; a barber can block time off from their phone.

  5. 5

Bookings made at the desk or by a barber appear on the same Calendar as the online ones.

  6. 6

Open a booking on the Calendar — in the back office, at the counter or on the phone — to move it, cancel it, or write its Note (“gate code, allergies…”). The note is the shop's own: it is shown with the booking and never sent to the customer.

  7. 7

Cancelling one visit of a customer who comes every week, fortnight or month asks “And the rest of the series”: ticked, the visits after it are cancelled too, and the customer is told once.

  8. 8

A customer who does not come: from the booking's start, and for seven days after, Did not come says so. The Calendar paints it a No-show and the customer's page counts it; the customer is not told. Undo: did not come takes it back — and ringing the visit, or moving it to another time, undoes it on its own.

  9. 9

On the phone, a barber moves one of their own bookings by holding a finger still on it, then dragging it to another time of the day; a finger that moves at once scrolls the page. A visit of a series moves alone. The customer is told, as for any move.

  10. 10

If you go to your customers, the owner turns it on in Settings → Business → Visits at your clients': I go to my clients, and the Travel time between visits, kept free before and after each. Every booking then asks the address of the visit, and the barber's phone shows it. With no counter tablet there is no Day close — the diary is the day; a shop with a counter tablet keeps its close.

We answer by the next working day.
