Customers bring friends

A customer shares their invite; every so many new friends who come, one free service for them.

  1. 1

Open Settings → Catalogue → Referrals, under Loyalty and credit. Tick Referrals on, say every how many friends, choose the service given free, and save. It is off until you turn it on, and only friends who come from that day count.

  2. 2

Your customers find it on your booking site: the shop's page says the offer — and, to a customer signed in, leads to their invite link — and their own page (My bookings) shows Invite friends, the link to copy and how many have come so far (“1 of 3 — then a free …”).

  3. 3

A friend counts when they open that link — the page tells them who invited them — book online from the same phone or computer within 30 days, and come for a first visit with a service. The visit counts once it is rung at the till with the friend named on the sale, as a stamp is.

  4. 4

Somebody you already know — the same e-mail or phone as a customer here — is never a new friend, whoever's link they used. A friend who books by phone or walks in without the link does not count either.

  5. 5

Every so many friends counted, the customer who invited them gets the free service: it waits beside their name at the till and on their own page. Only the one who invited is given anything.

  6. 6

The free one is rung at zero, as the stamp card's is, and where the business pays commission the barber is paid on its full price. It never counts toward the stamp card.

  7. 7

Refunding a friend's first visit takes the count back — and the free one too, if that visit is the one that earned it and it is unused; the friend's next visit counts them again. Each customer's page in Customers shows Friends brought and Brought by.
